- Washer installation: dry
K050-H02E uses dry washers with TorquePoint lubricant on the specified stud threads and nut bearing surfaces. Clean the block threads, deck and fastener bearing surfaces; remove rust-preventive coating from the washers. Trial-install each stud by hand without lubricant, then remove it, apply TorquePoint to the block-end threads and install with light hand force as directed. Keep the gasket, deck and washers free of lubricant. Lubricate the nut-end threads and nut bearing face with TorquePoint. Follow the component maker's tightening sequence and stages, and the exact kit instructions; 80 ft-lb is the stated maximum TorquePoint input, with lower component limits taking precedence.
