Disconnect the battery, removing the negative cable first. Remove the stock internal ignition coil before fitting this modified cap; leaving it installed can damage the cap. Verify primary-wire polarity, extend the wiring to the external coil with 14-gauge wire, and insulate the soldered joints. Wire routing can require drilling the cap or modifying its rubber seal. Size and crimp the supplied coil wire using the included tool and the manufacturer’s instructions.
