MAHLE 42147CP is a standard-size piston-ring set for the listed Honda D17 engine configurations. It services all four cylinders of a 75.0 mm-bore engine with the matching shallow-groove pistons.
- Standard bore: 75.0 mm / 2.953 inches.
- Axial ring widths: 1.0 mm top, 1.5 mm second and 2.0 mm oil-control assembly.
- Chrome-faced carbon-steel upper compression rings.
- For the listed 2001–2005 Civic D17A1, D17A2, D17A6 and D17A7 applications and Acura EL D17A2.
- Rings only; pistons are separate.
Measure the finished cylinder bore and actual piston grooves before assembly. Oversize sets are separate part numbers; this standard set is not for a rebored cylinder, a 1.3L Hybrid engine or a 2.0L Si engine.

MAHLE 42147CP: Check the finished 75.0 mm bore and 1.0 / 1.5 / 2.0 mm shallow ring grooves before assembly. Inspect used grooves for wear and measure ring end gaps to the kit and engine-builder specifications. Use ring pliers, face marked sides toward the crown, and fit the oil-control assembly before the compression rings. Keep oil-expander ends from overlapping. Lubricate with clean engine oil and follow the supplied ring-gap layout. Never fit damaged rings or chrome-faced rings to chrome-plated bores.
