MAHLE 41618 is a standard-size piston-ring set for the listed Honda D16 engines with 75.0 mm cylinder bores and matching shallow-groove pistons. One engine set services four cylinders.
- Standard bore: 75.0 mm / 2.953 inches.
- Axial ring widths: 1.0 mm top, 1.2 mm second and 2.8 mm oil-control assembly.
- Chrome-faced carbon-steel upper compression rings.
- Listed Civic applications use D16Y7, D16Y8, D16Y5 or D16B5 engines.
- Rings only; pistons are separate.
Match the actual piston grooves and finished bore before assembly. This 75.0 mm set does not fit a stock 81 mm-bore B16 engine, and its groove widths differ from the D17 ring set. Oversize sets require their own part-number suffix.

MAHLE 41618: Check the finished 75.0 mm bore and 1.0 / 1.2 / 2.8 mm shallow ring grooves before assembly. Inspect used grooves for wear and measure ring end gaps to the kit and engine-builder specifications. Use ring pliers, face marked sides toward the crown, and fit the oil-control assembly before the compression rings. Keep oil-expander ends from overlapping. Lubricate with clean engine oil and follow the supplied ring-gap layout. Never fit damaged rings or chrome-faced rings to chrome-plated bores.
