SM5635 Front Upper Coil Spring Insulator — Acura RL

KYB SM5635 is a front upper coil spring seat insulator for the Acura RL applications listed below. It replaces the cushioning material between the spring and its upper seat to reduce squeaks, rattles and vibration from a worn or hardened original insulator.

KYB SM5635 replaces the front upper coil spring-seat insulator on the listed Acura RL suspension assembly. This service requires safe removal and disassembly of a loaded spring assembly using the Acura workshop procedure and suitable spring-handling equipment. Seat the spring correctly against the insulator and spring-seat stops, and preserve the required upper-to-lower seat orientation. Inspect the mount, spring and lower insulator before reassembly. Tighten the damper shaft nut with the specified holding tool and a torque wrench to the Acura service specification; do not use an impact wrench or grip the polished shaft. The insulator does not replace the complete mount or spring assembly.
