Description
Boundary H22-OPG replaces the internal gears in the Honda H22 oil-pump configuration with a matched chromoly-billet inner and outer gearset. The gears receive Boundary’s ColdFlow mirror finish and individual inspection with a blueprinting report.
- For the original 2.2L H22 engine and compatible H22 pump housing in the listed Prelude applications.
- 1993–1996 Prelude VTEC: H22A1.
- 1997–2001 Prelude: H22A4.
- Gearset only; this is not a complete oil-pump assembly.
Confirm the actual engine, pump housing and supplied gear dimensions during assembly.

Boundary H22-OPG must be installed as the supplied matched inner and outer gearset in the correct H22 pump housing. Have the engine builder inspect the housing, sealing faces and gear clearances against the supplied blueprinting report and Honda service information before assembly. Follow the orientation information supplied with the gears; Boundary specifies that any central crank-land relief faces the engine block. Lubricate the moving components and prime the oiling system before starting the engine. Use the Honda service procedure for pump fasteners, seals, timing components and oil-pressure verification. A chassis with an engine swap or a different pump housing needs a separate hardware check.
