Check the bearing size, main-journal dimensions, housing condition and assembled clearance before installation.
Select the 0.025 mm undersize from actual crankshaft-journal and housing measurements. Clean and inspect the housing and journals, install the correct upper and lower shells, torque the main fasteners using the engine or fastener maker's procedure, and measure assembled oil clearance with a micrometer and bore gauge. Do not polish or abrade the bearing faces to change clearance. Apply the specified assembly lubricant before final assembly.
